Gianni Alemanno, former minister of AN and former mayor of Rome, spoke in Cuneo as the leader of the Forum for Italian Independence, expressing his openness to a possible alliance with Marco Rizzo, honorary president of the Communist Party and currently with Popular Sovereign Democracy.
Alemanno also announced the imminent formation of a new movement, stating that it should take place in November, and by December they will decide whether to run in the European elections. He emphasized that they will not be the far-right party, but rather aim to give a voice to those who feel unheard, not only within Brothers of Italy but also within a broader dissenting world.
Last Friday, at the “The Infinite Wall” event in Trento, Alemanno criticized the government’s intention to withdraw from the Silk Road, in substantial agreement with Rizzo’s viewpoint. Rizzo described this decision as “not only a political mistake but also an economic one.”
