Francesco Corsiglia, 23, has pleaded with a girl he allegedly harassed at a nightclub not to report him, claiming he is already in trouble for “another matter.” However, the 19-year-old did not relent.
The harassment incident occurred on the night of July 29th to 30th at the Estoril nightclub. Corsiglia, who had returned from Spain to spend a few days in Genoa, met the girl at the club and, while they were on the dance floor, lifted her top. The young swimmer from Genoa immediately called the police to report the incident. Corsiglia then pleaded with her to desist because he is already in trouble for “another matter.” However, the girl decided to take action anyway, confirming the harassment to the police and formally filing a complaint the following day.
Corsiglia is now under investigation for sexual assault, although the prosecutor claims the offense is of a minor nature.
“The other matter”: Group sexual assault in Sardinia
Francesco Corsiglia, the son of a well-known Genoese cardiologist, is already facing charges in a group sexual assault case involving other friends, including Giuseppe Grillo’s son. The incident dates back to 2019 when the group was at Grillo’s house in Sardinia, and during the night of July 16th to 17th, they allegedly raped two girls. This alleged crime is said to be documented on the young men’s cell phones, and they are currently on trial.
