Zaia also advocated for autonomy for the Veneto region, stating that it was not a subversive act but rather a request for the state to fulfill its responsibilities. He argued that autonomy would put an end to parasitism.
Salvini and Le Pen continued their discussions over a lunch of locally sourced products at Pontida. They expressed their satisfaction with the event and discussed plans for a large international gathering of alternative parties to the left, to be held in Italy before the end of the year.
